NSW: Eight arrested in connection with revenge attacks

Eight people have been arrested in early morning raids .. over revenge attacks that
followed Sydney's Cronulla riot.

More than 50 police conducted simultaneous raids today on 10 homes in Yagoona .. Riverwood
.. Punchbowl .. Greenacre .. and Bankstown in Sydney's west.

Detectives from Strike Force Enoggera arrested the eight males .. aged between 16 and
21 .. and they'll be charged with riot and affray .. over the violence and anti-social
behaviour at Maroubra on December 11.

Police say four of those arrested are juveniles.

The men and boys were allegedly in a convoy of cars that drove from Punchbowl Park
to Maroubra after 8.30pm on December 11 for retaliatory attacks following the December
11 Cronulla rioting.
